Lungs collapsing, caving in
(Cocoon unfolds and dust falls of it)
I dare not let you leave
But dare not let you in too deep
With ice picks to my lungs I reach
My first moment of clarity
Enduring
Relied, relied, relied on your
Numb consolations endless evermore
Trying to form a sound when I was told to quietly linger
I’ll bide my time and find my own
Roots of my kin was left and overgrown
See is what I want but I’m used to always peek through your fingers
Calibrated diamond lens
Twinkling eyes, contraction so intense
(Never used before, not used to)
Sun burnt blisters on my lips
Bare mouth tasting your eye’s fiery kiss
Fill spinal chord with iron weave
Forcefully straighten out to keep
Bending
Relied, relied, relied on your
Numb consolations endless evermore
Trying to form a sound when I was told to quietly linger
I’ll bide my time and find my own
Roots of my kin was left and overgrown
See is what I want but I’m used to always peek through your fingers
